If you have limited time on you lunch break from work, they have online ordering at dickeys.com. Several places are doing this now, but I usually see it for pizza carryout.
With the meat plates, you get two sides, onions, pickles and a roll. The roll wasn’t my favorite and I don’t like pickles. I got the mac and cheese and the fried onion tanglers (onion straws). Drink was coke products on a self serv machine. I got the big yellow cup. A little pricy, but you get unlimited refills and a big cup to take home that likes to travel (it even says so on the side).
For afters, there is a softserv dairy free ice cream. This is probably the best softserv, beating out the stuff from the steak places. While there are no fixins, you can get it in a cone, or, like I did, get a side cup and a spoon. We were informed that the founder’s mother was lactose intolerant, so they made sure she could the ice cream.
The only little one wasn't on solid food yet, but I did notice signs that showed kids eat free on Sundays.
Children's menu:
- chicken nuggets
- a sandwich or
- a meat plate.
All for $5.50 each ($0 if you go on Sundays). Not a bad deal for a family night out.
Overall, I had a good meal and a good time. When I go back, I will be looking over the other items on the menu, such as sandwiches, salads, turkey, chicken and sausages. They even sell some of the meats so you can cook them at home.
On the humor side of things, just about everything has something to say. Even the napkins try to get you to enjoy the BBQ.
